‘Shol Mach’ or Snakehead Murrel is a very popular fish in eastern part of India and Bangladesh.

Ingredients :
5 pieces shol fish
2 Onions - sliced
1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
1 tomato puree
1 teaspoon red chilli Powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 bay leaf
1/4 bunch coriander leaves chopped
To taste salt
Oil as needed.
Instructions :
Wash and marinate the fish with salt and turmeric powder
Add oil in the pan deep fry the fish and keep aside
Add bay leaf to temper
Now add sliced onion well adding salt and turmeric powder
Add ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell disappears
Now add tomato puree and red chilli Powder stir well
Add water according to your need and allow it to boil
Add fish pieces and simmer for a while and add garam masala powder
Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve
